I’m Abbe Poznak, LCSW, a licensed clinical social worker in New York, New Jersey, and Florida. My approach is grounded in years of experience supporting individuals and families through life’s complex and meaningful challenges.
Before becoming a therapist, I earned a Master’s in Education and worked as an elementary school teacher. I later transitioned into social work, where I’ve worked in a variety of settings—including as a school social worker, providing psychoeducation and guidance to parents facing the challenges of parenting, in a women’s halfway house supporting women affected by addiction and trauma, and in hospice care, supporting patients and their families through end-of-life transitions.
Finding the right therapist is an important step toward meaningful change. I offer a compassionate, grounded presence and a therapy space where you can feel safe, seen, and heard just as you are.
My approach is both evidence-based and deeply personal. I tailor each session to your unique needs, drawing from proven methods while staying attuned to your individual story, strengths, and goals. Whether you’re seeking clarity, healing, or personal growth, I bring a thoughtful, creative perspective to support you along the way.
I believe therapy should feel like a partnership respectful, collaborative, and empowering. If you’re ready to explore what’s possible, I’m here to walk that path with you.
Abbe supported me through one of the most difficult times in my parenting journey. With compassion, insight, and practical tools, she helped me find clarity, confidence, and connection. I’m incredibly grateful for the guidance and support that made a real difference in both my life and my relationship with my child.
Abbe has been a steady, compassionate presence through one of the hardest times in my life. She worked with my family while my parents were in hospice care, helping us communicate, support each other, and cope with everything that came with that season. After they passed, she helped me navigate the grief, the family dynamics, and the emotional weight of it all. Her guidance, empathy, and strength made a lasting impact, and I’m deeply grateful for the space she created for healing.
I started seeing Abbe during my divorce, and her support made a huge difference. She helped me stay grounded through all the emotional ups and downs, and guided me toward co-parenting in a way that’s healthy and focused on what really matters—our kids. Even after the divorce, she’s continued to be an incredible support. I’m truly grateful for everything she’s helped me work through.

Let’s face it: therapy can feel overwhelming. Emotionally. Logistically. Financially. Existentially…….
